Details:

The Super Saver Laundromat Scholarship is a community-orientated program designed to provide financial assistance to New Haven high school students who are interested in pursuing the arts in higher education. Of all the students who apply for this scholarship, fifteen finalists will be chosen by our judges to advance to the next round of this competition. These fifteen students will be given a canvas on which they will paint their community-friendly interpretation of life in New Haven. Paint will not be supplied, but it must be acrylic or water-based. They will have one month to complete their paintings, which will then be displayed in the Super Saver Laundromat. Together, our judges and members of the community will vote to choose three winners. First place will receive $6,000, second place will receive $3,000, and third place will receive $1,000. All prizes will be paid directly to a post-secondary institution. All students must be full-time students attending either a four-year or two-year university. Final paintings will become the sole property of Super Saver Laundromat.
